Job Title – Sous Chef

Adkins & Cheurfi are recruiting a Sous Chef to join our esteemed client on a permanent basis.
Our client, a place of natural history, voted best places to stay in Northumberland and a beautiful wedding venue. Based in a rural village of Northumberland on the County Durham boundary. Boasting beautiful scenery, Rosette level food and a star gazing hotspot attraction.
As Chef de Partie, you will be involved in the day to day running of this busy operation. Mentored by a fantastic local head chef who has Michelin roots and showcases the best of local and seasonal produce in their menu.
Role /Responsibilities
- Work alongside management and other team members offering a collaborative service.
- Producing high quality food that is appealing on the eye too.
- Maintaining high kitchen standards and ensuring working areas are clean and tidy.
- Food preparation.
- Stock control.
- Cooking food from scratch using fresh ingredients.
- Following a set menu.
- Breakfast, lunch meals, afternoon tea, gastro style menu and fine dining offerings.
Salary and Benefits
- £27,000-£27,200

Candidate
- Experienced Chef with strong gastro or fine dining experience
- Cooking from scratch using fresh locally sourced ingredients.
- Driving license will be desirable due to location.
- Maintaining high kitchen standards and ensuring working areas are clean and tidy.
