Job Title – Sous Chef
Overview/Company Introduction
Adkins & Cheurfi have just landed a unique opportunity on behalf of our client, a luxurious family run hotel situated in a private estate surrounded by 20,000 acres of the most commanding of landscapes of the Yorkshire dales.
a luxury traditional castle hotel with 42 bedrooms, three holiday cottages. The estate offers various dining experiences for their guests, from afternoon tea to contemporary terrace dining. Lavish cocktail bars and the esteemed 2 Rosette fine dining restaurant within the hall.
We are currently looking for an ambitious Sous Chef to join our client on a permanent basis. You will be based in the award winning, 2 Rosette fine dining restaurant. which has recently undergone a half a million-pound refurbishment updating the entire kitchen, equipment and workflows. This is a fantastic opportunity for a chef looking to take their culinary career to that next level. Preparing and cooking the finest local ingredients, the estate also offers their own foraging on site which will allow you to inspire and create unique dishes and develop your knowledge even further.
Role /Responsibilities
- Salary from £36,000- £38,000 per annum, plus service charge
- Shifts pattern is 5/7 days per week
- 48 hours per week
- Participate in weekly manager meetings and facilitate staff training sessions.
- To motivate and lead by example, ensuring you and your team has fun at work and are proud of your efforts.
- To ensure all food is cooked, presented and served in line with its specific specification and company standards using innovation in the method and style of presentation and food service.
- People management, ensuring all team member are fully equipped and trained to be able to do their job as affectively as possible
Candidate
- Proven success as a head chef operating in a busy gastro pub
- Strong understanding of budgets, financials and managing targets
- Strong people management skills and able to motivate and lead a team
- Comply with & implement all legislative and licensing requirements.
- Promote a positive perception of the Company at all times, both internally & externally.
