A&C Recruitment are looking to speak with hardworking Kitchen Porters seeking a fresh opportunity in Sunderland. We’re collaborating with one of the city’s most talked-about new restaurants, which has seen tremendous success since its grand opening last month. Due to their continued success, they are expanding their kitchen team and are looking to speak with hardworking individuals!
(Please note this is a full-time, 40 hr week contract including evenings and weekends where needed).
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all kitchen areas are clean, organised, and well-maintained at all times.
- Wash and sanitise pots, pans, dishes, and utensils promptly.
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients by washing, peeling, and chopping as needed.
- Dispose of kitchen waste in a safe and environmentally friendly manner.
- Ensure that the dishwashing area is kept tidy and that dishwashing machines are operated efficiently.
- Support the kitchen team in maintaining a high standard of hygiene and food safety.
- Assist with the unloading and storage of deliveries, ensuring stock is rotated correctly.
- Perform other tasks as required to support the smooth operation of the kitchen.
Camdidate requirements:
- Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter or in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items when necessary.
- A team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
