Adkins & Cheurfi are recruiting for a strong Head Chef to manage a busy and well-respected property in the English/Scottish Borders
Managing a team of chefs the Head Chef will have a background in managing similar properties up to 2* Rosette level with a strong understanding of managing various outlets including a restaurant, Conference and Banqueting and Guest accommodation.
The business is looking to invest in its future and this will be a fantastic opportunity for somebody to manage coming out of the current restrictions and to grow with the company.
Head Chef requirements –
- Commercial Acumen
- Strong leadership
- Ability to inspire, Recruit, train, mentor and lead a team of skilled chefs
- Working closely with the management team front and back of house
- Managing budgets, costing and waste control
- Implementing health and safety procedures and ensuring they are being followed by the team at all times
- GP control for maximum profit
- Administrative responsibility for team records, health and safety compliance, stock taking and other brand requirements
Person Specification:
- Strong and proven background as a head chef or Senior Sous
- High volume operational experience
- Hotel experience would be preferred but not essential
- Must have own transport
- “Can do” attitude with good leadership qualities
- Reliable with an excellent work ethic
- Previous responsibility for costs and profit margins
- Team Player
Due to the location of the role, the correct candidate must have their own transport and be willing to travel
