Head Chef – Boutique Hotel Dining Concept

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a stylish and well-regarded boutique hotel for an experienced and driven Head Chef to lead their kitchen operation. This is an exciting opportunity to take charge of a quality-led food offering within a growing property, working closely alongside an established Executive Chef.

The venue has built a strong reputation for its modern dining concept, focusing on seasonal ingredients, creative menus, and a high standard of presentation. With a busy restaurant and growing events offering, this role provides both challenge and opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the day-to-day kitchen operation across all services
• Work closely with the Executive Chef to develop and evolve menus
• Ensure consistently high standards of food quality, presentation, and service
• Oversee and develop the kitchen team, including training and performance management
• Manage stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships
• Maintain strict food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards
• Drive efficiency, reduce waste, and manage kitchen costs effectively
• Ensure smooth service during busy periods and events

About You

• Proven experience as a Head Chef or strong Senior Sous Chef ready to step up
• Background in a quality-focused, fresh food environment
• Strong leadership and team development skills
• Creative approach to menu development with a passion for seasonal produce
• Ability to work collaboratively with senior management and Executive Chef
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Calm under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen
