We are recruiting on behalf of an independent arts venue and events space, who are seeking a skilled and motivated Chef to join their kitchen team. The successful candidate will work closely with the existing Chef and Front of House team to maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen environment while delivering high-quality food for both café service and event catering.

Main Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve café menu items and event catering orders in a timely manner, ensuring adherence to recipes and quality standards.
- Take responsibility for the safe and efficient running of the kitchen during your shift.
- Complete all necessary paperwork in line with Food Standards Agency guidelines to ensure best practices are upheld.
- Manage stock levels and handle daily orders.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams.
- Assist in other kitchen areas as needed, demonstrating flexibility.
- Ensure all equipment is used in line with training and maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Take pride in maintaining kitchen standards and cleanliness.
- Collaborate with a team that includes volunteers and individuals with learning disabilities.
Working pattern to include two Weekdays (5 hours per day) and Weekends (6 hours per day).
Essential Requirements:
- 1-2 years of experience in a kitchen environment.
- Immaculate personal presentation and high levels of personal hygiene.
- Ability to maintain a clean, comfortable, and well-stocked kitchen environment.
- Experience in working with individuals with learning disabilities is desirable but not essential.
- Willingness to undergo a DBS check when requested.
- Strong ability to work as part of a team and take instruction.
- Positive attitude and flexible approach to work.
