It was congratulations all round recently as A&C’s recruitment consultant, Chloe Churchill, was successful in passing her Level 3 REC exam.
The ‘Recruitment and Employment Confederation’ exams are professional, accredited qualifications which give the student an in-depth knowledge and the practical skills to succeed in recruitment and further progress their career and something which Chloe was eager to study when she joined A&C as an apprentice.
We caught up with Chloe to find out more about why she decided to study for the exam, why she loves the industry and her future plans.
Q: Why did you decide to study for your REC exam?
A: I started my career at A&C in an apprenticeship role, following my first year, I decided to study for the exam as I knew it would enable me to progress further into my career within recruitment, develop my knowledge and ensure I provide clients and candidates with a professional service.
Q: What does your job involve on a day-to-day basis?
A: On a daily basis, I work with candidates from across the north east to match them to their perfect roles.
Q: What do you love about working in the recruitment industry?
A: Every day is different, I love meeting new people and travelling to see our clients, it’s a great feeling when you can find a candidate their perfect role and hopefully their future career.
Q: What have you enjoyed most since you joined A&C?
A: We’ve got a great atmosphere in the group and a lovely team so the most enjoyable part is working alongside my colleagues, also our Christmas parties are pretty fun too!
Q: Have you had a particular memorable moment since you joined A&C?
A: I’ve got two memorable moments since joining the company, they are passing my apprenticeship and my REC exam. It’s great how A&C invest in their team so it’s been a brilliant opportunity for me to further my knowledge within the industry, this has now enabled me to work on a more independent basis.
Q: What are your plans for the future?
A: I would love to grow my number of clients and candidates and help support people into their perfect roles. That, alongside expanding my knowledge in the sector, will help me to keep contributing to my team and the company’s future success.
Q: What do you like to do to unwind?
A: I’m a fan of travelling so love going on holiday and relaxing, I also enjoy downtime spent with my family and friends.
