We are seeking an experienced and motivated Chef de Partie to join our client’s team at a prestigious AA-rated 5 red star resort in the North of England. The resort, near Darlington in County Durham, aims to provide outstanding personalised service to each guest, whether they are staying, visiting the spa, golfing, or dining.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and place orders to selected food suppliers on a daily and weekly basis to ensure stock availability
  • Monitor the quality and presentation of all food served to ensure that it is up to standard
  • Check all fridges to ensure they are stocked with the necessary ingredients in preparation for service and highlight any stock shortages to a senior chef
  • Be able to meet deadlines and work calmly under pressure, to willingly undertake any tasks when requested by a senior member of the team
  • Be creative in order to help with suggestions on new menus and dish ideas
  • Train, coach and aid the development of junior chefs within the kitchen
