Kitchen Assistant – ENHANCED DBS NEEDED
Duties:
– Assist in food preparation, including chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and assembling ingredients
– Assist in cooking and baking tasks, such as measuring ingredients and monitoring cooking times
– Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and workstations
– Wash and peel fruits and vegetables
– Assist in organizing and stocking kitchen supplies
– Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
– Assist in serving meals to customers or staff members
– Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen environment
Qualifications:
– Previous experience working in a kitchen or food service setting is preferred, but not required
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
– Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
– Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
– Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
– Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds)
– Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
